Step 2: Screen and Projector vs. Large-Format TV

However, if your room has ambient light issues or you prefer simplicity, a high-end 85–98-inch TV from Samsung, LG, or Sony delivers exceptional picture quality with zero maintenance. The trade-off is screen size — even the largest TVs are significantly smaller than projection screens.

Step 4: Acoustic Treatment
This is the step most DIY setups miss — and it makes all the difference. Without acoustic treatment, sound bounces off walls and ceilings, creating echoes, muddiness, and uneven bass. Your expensive speakers will underperform in an untreated room.
Professional acoustic treatment includes:
- Absorption panels at first reflection points to reduce flutter echo
